The purchase includes the equipment and building at 113 N. Main St. in Chaffee.
The newspaper's current staff will continue with an emphasis on local news coverage.

The staff includes Ron Eifert as editor, Jeaneal Vandeven as office manager, and the sales staff of John Topping, Harriett Duncan and K.C. Martin.
Concord Publishing is the corporate owner of the Southeast Missourian. Sharing of accounting functions, circulation and personnel will permit the Scott County News to provide a strong identity to the area and its advertisers.
The Advance News and Bloomfield News are other area weeklies owned by the Family Network of Newspapers.
