The Southeast Missourian's Teacher's Corner today begins its 10th year.
Every week during the school year, the Teacher's Corner features a different teacher, showing newspaper readers the variety of approaches to education at work in the classrooms.
The program began in 1984 as a cooperative effort between the newspaper and the Cape Girardeau Public Schools.
In 1989, the column expanded to include many of the area schools that the newspaper covers. This year, teachers from 32 public and private schools will be recognized.
