JACKSON -- Two passengers sustained minor injuries Wednesday evening in a collision on County Road 301 one mile north of Jackson.
One of the injured, 15-year-old Tammy Snead of Jackson, was taken to St. Francis Medical Center after the 6:30 p.m. accident. She was wearing a seat belt.
The other, Donna Hinkle, 38, of Cape Girardeau, was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Snead was riding in a southbound passenger car driven by Daniel Richardson, 17, of Cape Girardeau.
Hinkle was a passenger in a northbound pickup driven by Richard Smith, 39, of Jackson.
A spokesman for the Missouri Highway Patrol said Richardson's car cross the center line and struck Smith's pickup.
