Young people between the ages of 14 and 18 are invited to become a part of Southeast Missouri Hospital's Junior Volunteer team. Junior volunteers work after school during the academic year and on weekdays during the summer months.

Junior volunteer training sessions are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Thursday in the hospital's Harrison Room. To participate in the junior volunteer program, each person must attend one of the training sessions. Pre-registration is necessary. To register, call Southeast's Volunteer Services at 651-5518.

Junior volunteers can work in a number of areas including food and nutrition services, pediatrics, materials management, patient transport, office assistance, marketing and communications, nursery and nursing stations.

The efforts of junior volunteers are recognized at a special luncheon hosted by the hospital in August.
