Navy Ensign Judson C. Reppen has received his commission as a naval officer after completing Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Fla.
Reppen is the son of Norvald J. Reppen and Nancy Reppen of Jackson. Reppen is a 1988 graduate of Jackson High School. He also holds a bachelor of science degree from the Parks College of St. Louis University, Cahokia, Ill.
The training program lasted 13 weeks long. Reppen received instruction in a variety of specialized subjects. He was trained in navigation, ship handling, engineering, naval warfare, and management.
Reppen also received leadership training and instruction on the importance of the Navy's core values of honor, courage, and commitment.
