Aaron D. Wunderlich
Navy Airman Aaron D. Wunderlich, son of James R. and Martin K. Wunderlich of Jackson, has departed for a six-month overseas deployment to the Persian Gulf aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.
Wunderlich is one of more than 5,600 Sailors and Marines aboard the carrier who departed Bremerton, Wash., for the journey to the Middle East and Western Pacific Ocean.
The 1994 graduate of Jackson High School joined the Navy in July 1994.
Bryan D. Hoffman
Bryan Dr. Hoffman of Perryville has joined the U.S. Army. Pvt. Hoffman will take basic and advanced individual training at Fort Knox, Ky., reporting for duty March 7.
He is the son of Calvin Hoffman of Perryville and Carol Weiss of Steeleville, Ill.
Christopher L. Vowels
Army Pvt. Christopher L. Vowels has completed basic training at Fort Leonard E. Wood, Waynesville, Mo. During the training, students received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, first aid and Army history and traditions.
Vowels is the son of Carolyn S. Vowels of Altenburg.
