Fowler completes training

Marine Pvt. Charles W. Fowler has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif.

He is a 1991 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and is the son of Thomas Fowler and the late Rosemary Fowler of Old Appleton.

He is married to Heather Fowler of Jackson. They have one son, Jordan.

Bollinger graduates from training

Army Spec. David M. Bollinger has graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Radcliff, Ky.

He is a 1986 graduate of Meadow Heights Regional High School and is a 1992 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Bollinger is the son of Frank and Donna Bollinger of Sedgewickville.

Zorbas graduates from academy

Army Cadet Vasiliki Zorbas has graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

She is the daughter of Vasili Zorbas of Marble Hill and Paraskevi Zorbas of Bayside, N.Y.

She is a 1993 graduate of Bronx Science High School in New York.

Hall joins Army

R. Corey Hall, a 1995 graduate of Leopold High School, has joined the U.S. Army under the Delayed Entry Program.

He reports for basic training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga., on July 18.

He is the brother of Stephanie Seiler of Marble Hill.

Hanner on six-month deployment

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Richard D. Hanner, whose wife Theresa is the daughter of Connie Yamnitz of Jackson is currently on a six-month deployment in the Mediterranean Sea aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy.

He is a 1985 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School.

Turner arrives in Gulf

Navy Seaman Recruit Brett L. Turner, son of Larry and Dale Burrows of Jackson, recently arrived in the Persian Gulf to support U.S. interests and Navy operational objectives in the area.

He is a 1994 graduate of Jackson High School.
