BROTHERS RECEIVES PROMOTION

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Brian G. Brothers was recently promoted to his present rank while serving with Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 59, Naval Air Station, Dallas, Texas.

He is the son of Robert and Laura Brothers of Jackson.

Brothers was promoted based on sustained superior job performance and proficiency in his designated specialty.

He is a 1993 graduate of Jackson High School.

Ruch completes basic training

Navy Seaman recruit John R. Ruch has recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is the son of Larry and Pat Ruch of Jackson.

Ruch completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, fire fighting, water safety and survival and shipboard and aircraft safety.

He is a 1990 graduate of Jackson High School.

Seabaugh completes basic training

Navy Seaman Recruit Leslie D. Seabaugh of Jackson has completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

She is the daughter of John and Jennifer Seabaugh and a 1993 graduate of Jackson High School.

Men and women train together from their first day in the Navy just as they do aboard ships and at shore commands around the world. Seabaugh and other recruits were also trained in preventing sexual harassment and ensuring equal opportunity.

Seabaugh's training included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, fire fighting, water safety and survival and shipboard and aircraft safety.
