American College Testing announced that student s can use calculators on the ACT mathematics test beginning this fall. Exminees have the option of brking their calculators to the tests.
Calculators will be permitted, but not required. The ACT math problems will continue to require skills and knowledge as those on prior tests, and all questions can be answered with the aid of a calculator.
The ACT is a college-entrance exam taken by some 60 percent of the entering freshmen across the U.S.
