NEW WATER TREATMENT FIRM OPENS; RAINSOFT NOW IS AT 2141 INDEPENDENCE

Rainsoft Water Treatment has opened an office in Cape Girardeau.

"Rainsoft, headquartered in Chicago, Ill., has more than 400 offices located throughout the world," said Donny Beasley, who has the franchise for Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois and Northwest Kentucky.

Beasley is familiar with Rainsoft.

"My father, Don Beasley, has two Rainsoft offices in Hot Springs, Ark.," said Donny Beasley. "I have worked with him for the past four years. A franchise opportunity came up in this area, and I decided to go out on my own."

The firm opened its Cape Girardeau office at 2141 Independence last month.

Rainsoft provides a full line of residential and commercial water treatments, said Beasley. "We install and maintain the systems," said Beasley, who added that the systems are computerized.

The local office employs a dozen people.

"We have plumbers to install the system and we have an authorized service department," he said.
