Chris Conroy is the new vice president and general manager of KFVS12 (CBS) and WQWQ-TV (CW/MeTV) in Cape Girardeau, according to a news release from Raycom Media.

Conroy moves to KFVS/WQWQ from Raycom sister station KAIT (ABC) in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where he served as vice president and general manager since 2014, the release stated.

�Chris has done a remarkable job representing KAIT and serving the viewers of Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri,� said Tim Ingram, Raycom Media Regional Group vice president, in the release. �I am sure he will bring that same energy to KFVS, WQWQ, and the Heartland.�

According to the release, Conroy is a 30-year veteran of the broadcast industry. He started his career in his hometown of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and went on to a career at television stations in New Orleans; Atlanta; Birmingham, Alabama; and Memphis, Tennessee.

�KFVS12 is one of America�s finest legacy media operations, and I�m thrilled to be joining the local station family,� Conroy said in the release.

KFVS12 is the CBS Network affiliate serving the Cape Girardeau; Paducah, Kentucky; and Harrisburg, Illinois, television market since 1954. KFVS12 also operates WQWQ-TV, a CW/MeTV affiliate, KFVS12.com, Merge Digital Solutions, The Grit Network and numerous digital platforms, the release stated.
