New trucking terminal opens in Cape

Vitran Express opened a new trucking terminal at 4178 State Highway K in Cape Girardeau according to Tom Kelsey, commercial broker with Lorimont Place, Ltd., who handled the lease transaction.

Kelsey said the company has leased a 6,500-square-foot, 18-door cross dock facility on 3.5 acres. The property was originally built and used by Elfrink Truck Lines in the early 1970s and most recently was used by TNT Holland Trucking until a few years ago. The property has a freight warehouse, offices and truck shop area.

Vitran Express is not new to the Southeast Missouri region but previously used another local trucking carrier for delivery of their freight. Vitran Corporation is a North American provider of freight services and distribution solutions to a wide variety of companies and industries. Vitran offers less-than-truckload (LTL) service throughout Canada and the United States utilizing its own infrastructure and exclusive partners.
