CAPE GIRARDEAU -- ABF Freight Systems, Inc. has installed state-of-the-art satellite equipment at its terminal facility here.

"This will enhance our communications between almost 300 terminals throughout the U.S. and Canada," said Jerry Bell, ABF Director of Operations Systems for the firm, which is headquartered at Ft. Smith, Ark.

He said the company was using AT&T Tridom's VSAT (very small aperture terminal) technology for its system.

ABF is a regular route common carrier with services to all 50 states, five Canadian provinces, and Puerto Rico.
