John Morton III has been named president and chief executive officer of Farm & Home Financial Corporation and Farm & Home Savings Association.

Morton's appointment was announced last week by board chairman Donald B. Russell.

Morton, who will join Farm & Home Monday, was formerly chairman, president and CEO of Perpetual Financial Corp. of Vienna, Va.

He succeeds Joe F. Lynch, who served as Farm & Home's interim CEO since May. Lynch will continue as vice chairman of the board and manager of the association's leading activities.

Farm & Home Corp. is a $3.6 billion holding company whose principal subsidiary is Farm & Home Savings Association, headquartered in Nevada, Mo.

Farm & Home has a branch in Cape Girardeau.

Marlene Gillan has been named director of nursing for Bi-State Home Health, which has offices at Cape Girardeau and Marble Hill.

Ruth Anne Young, admini~strator, announced Gillan's appointment recently along with other administrative and staff changes.

Gillan, of Cobden, Ill., received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Carlow College in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1966. She has pursued post graduate studies at the State University of Buffalo, N.Y. She has also completed courses in chemotherapy administrations, basic areythmia and intensive care nursing. She has previously served as a clinical instructor for the LPN program and childbirth education courses at John A. Logan Community College.

Other recent staff appointments include Sara McDonald, registered nurse; Sherrie Simmons, licensed practical nurse; Kim Goolsby, certified nurses aide and Tellsa Compton, secretary.

Bi-States serves patients in Perry, Madison, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Butler, Stoddard, Scott, Mississippi, New Madrid and Wayne counties.
