Eddy D. James has joined Thomas L. Meyer Realty, 230 N. Sprigg in Cape Girardeau.
James, of Cape Girardeau, has served as a city police officer more than seven years and was a deputy sheriff four years. He also was a member of the Cape Girardeau County Major Case Squad. He is a past president of the Cape Girardeau Regional Fraternal Order of Police. He also served in the Army 101st Airborne Division.
A graduate of Cape Central High School, his further studies include the Cape Girardeau School of Real Estate, Missouri Highway Patrol Academy and FBI firearm instruction training.
His business background includes sales with Montgomery Ward Co., and business manager with Kentucky Fried Chicken of Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.
James and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Cape Girardeau. They are parents of three children.

Larry Dillon and Larry Schwenk have joined Dana Corp.'s Spicer Axle Division plant at Cape Girardeau.
Dillon, who has been with the Spicer Axle Division 21 years, will be materials manager at Cape Girardeau. He has served in manufacturing, assembly and scheduling at the Ft. Wayne, Ind., plant.
Dillon is a graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Schwenk has assumed the position of coordinator of Human Resources, EIM and Training at the Cape Girardeau manufacturing facility.
Schwenk started his Dana career as a machine operator at the Pottstown, Pa., U-Joint Plant in 1965. He has also served as a machine repairman, maintenance supervisor, safety director and as human resource manager at Hagerstown, Ind., Robinson, Ill., and most recently at the Spicer Heavy Axle Assembly Facility at Hilliard, Ohio.
He is a certified Dana supervisor and certified human resources manager.

The firm, 1737 N. Kingshighway, in Cape Girardeau, is expanding its area sales force.
Smith, a Jackson native, has been appointed as a full-line Canon representative for the Cape Girardeau and Perry county area.
McCord, of Sikeston, has assumed sales duties for the Sikeston area.
Williams represents WBM and Canon office equipment in Southern Illinois.
