New Cape Girardeau County voter ID cards being mailed

The Cape Girardeau County clerk's office will be sending out new voter ID cards to registered voters within the next few days in conjunction with canvassing the voter rolls.

Clerks are required by law to provide the voters with new cards every two years.

For those who wish to vote in the April 6 election, the deadline to register is March 10. Registered voters in Cape Girardeau County who do not receive a new ID card by the second week of February should contact the County Clerk's office in Jackson at 243-3547.
