Sikeston, Mo., native and 2008 "America's Got Talent" winner Neal E. Boyd will perform a special symphonic pops concert with the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra on Feb. 5, according to a Southeast Missouri State University news release.
The concert will take place at 8 p.m. in the Bedell Performance Hall.
The concert will include a selection of light classics and symphonic pops played by the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra. Boyd will join the orchestra in performing several of his most beloved solos.
This concert is being presented as a special event and is not part of any regular subscription series presented at the River Campus. Tickets for this concert will go on sale beginning Dec. 1 and can be purchased by calling the River Campus Box Office at 651-2265.
Boyd is a Southeast alumnus. This year Decca Records released his major-label debut called "My American Dream." The album is currently 37 on the Billboard classical albums chart.
In 2008 he won NBC's popular competition show "America's Got Talent", taking home $1 million and subsequently headlining a concert in Las Vegas.
