CAPE GIRARDEAU -- James W. Wente, Southeast Missouri Hospital administrator, has been named to a seventh term as vice chairman of the Missouri Hospital Association Finance and Budget Committee.
The committee is charged with studying and making recommendations pertaining to MHA financial matters to that body's Board of Trustees. The committee also studies financial issues confronting Missouri hospitals.
Wente has been affiliated with Southeast Hospital since 1975, as assistant administrator and chief financial officer, and later as Associate Administrator, before becoming administrator Jan. 1.
He has membership status in the American College of Healthcare Executives and advanced membership in the Health Care Financial Management Association. He also served on MHA's Engergy and Environmental Committee, a group which makes recommendations on energy and environmental issues to the MHA Council on Health Systems.
The MHA is composed of approximately 160 member hospitals.
