CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Five new members have been elected to the Greater Cape Girardeau Development Corporation by its shareholders.
Virgil Chirnside, Stanley Grimm, Steven Limbaugh, Charles E. "Bud" Leming, and Steven Strom were elected to the three-year terms. According to Linda Minner of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, they replace members Ray Buhs, Charles Hutson, Carl Meyer, Max Stovall and Fred R. Wilferth.
The corporation works to develop the Nash Road Industrial Park south of Cape Girardeau, which is home to several industrial and manufacturing facilities.
