Name of victim in car-train crash identified
MATTHEWS, Mo. (AP) -- A 63-year-old Southeast Missouri woman is dead after the vehicle she was driving was struck by a train. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Susan Beardsley of Sikeston died in the accident Wednesday afternoon in New Madrid County. The patrol says Beardsley was crossing tracks on a county road when her 2003 Dodge was struck by a Burlington Northern-Santa Fe train. Beardsley was pronounced dead at the scene...
