Deciding which way to wear the bonnet, these Cape Choraliers watch as Mrs. Joe Blackwell ties a frilly bow on Mrs. Arthur E. Jackson’s satin and net creation. Other Choraliers modeling “Gay Nineties” costumes for their Friday night show are, left to right, Lee Brothers, Mrs. Glenn O. Smith Jr., Leon Whitler and Mrs. Jake Wells. The colorful bustles and bonnets were given out to the 38 women at rehearsal this week, and the men were presented white straws, loud vests and handlebar mustaches. Cape’s March of Dimes porchlight drive Tuesday night brought in a lot of folding money in addition to coins, and workers here are shown counting the receipts after teams of workers from the city’s four service clubs completed the task. Standing from the left are Albert Schultz, local treasurer for the effort; Raymond Ritchie, physical therapist at the polio center at St. Francis Hospital, and Larry Howell, husband of one of the polio patients receiving treatment; seated: Rev. W.E. Mount, Lions Club; Vinson Rueseler, general chairman; Mrs. Larry Howell, who is receiving treatment for polio; Miss Louise Steimle, nurse in the polio rehabilitation section, and Bill Shivelbine, Optimist Club president.

Julia and Sam Unnerstall wrote: "We can identify some people within this photo! The first person in this photo is a professor from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The second person from the left is my dad, Sam Unnerstall. The third person from the left, next to my dad, is Kenny Merhle. The next people within the photo are unknown. Dad says this photo was taken at the Colonial Tavern,  during a Cape Pharmacy Association meeting. Dad was a pharmacist at Unnerstall's Drug and Kenny was a pharmacist at Medical Arts Pharmacy. Mystery solved! Thanks for including this photo for the Mystery Gallery!"
