When Mrs. F goes out, she likes to wear bright colors.
She wouldn't mind complementing a bright outfit with red lipstick, red rouge, and matching red nail polish.
Because of her financial situation, however, Mrs. F, 80, doesn't always have the opportunity to indulge herself in such luxury items.
She must make sure she has enough insulin and syringes to cope with diabetes. Her medical woes were compounded further by a hip injury that requires her to use a cane.
Mrs. F lives on Social Security and has had problems paying all of her bills. She doesn't always buy the medicine she needs.
Her only form of entertainment is a black-and-white television. Since her son lives in another state, her only companion is her dog, Baby.
Christmas for the Elderly is designed to give people like Mrs. F a brighter holiday by delivering some of the items on her wish list.
Her preferred pharmacy is Schnucks. She would appreciate canned goods or a fruit basket.
Mrs. F would also like to give Baby something for Christmas. The dog eats President's Choice dog food.
Mrs. F likes ivory-colored makeup in liquid form. She could also use a gift certificate to a podiatrist to have her toenails clipped.
A new dress for church is also on her wish list for the holidays. She wears size 14 and prefers colors like bright blue. Mrs. F could use cotton or nylon panties in size 6.
With an injured hip, she has difficulty getting to and from places. Taxi coupons would help her become more independent.
