Morehouse man arrested on forgery charge

A Morehouse, Missouri, man has been arrested on a felony forgery charge in Scott County.

Jimmy D. Jones, 45, of Morehouse is suspected of stealing and forging a personal check.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reported Deputy Danny Finley met with a victim at a Sikeston, Missouri, address at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday in reference to stolen property. The victim reported a check stolen from his checkbook sometime in September had cleared through his bank Oct. 3. The victim said he did not know the payee or who had stolen the check.
