The Cape Girardeau area may see more snow fall early this week, but it shouldn't be enough to cause significant problems.

As of this morning, the National Weather Service in Paducah, Ky., was expecting rain to begin this afternoon, possibly mixing with snow tonight. There's an 80 percent chance of precipitation tonight, but with a low forecast around 37, any snow that does fall won't accumulate on the ground.

Tuesday the weather service says there's a 40 percent chance of snow, and a chance of flurries Tuesday night.

More significant are the winds expected today and Tuesday -- gusts of 26 miles per hour are possible to today, gusts of 37 miles per hour possible tonight and gusts of 44 miles per hour possible on Tuesday.

High temperatures Tuesday should be around 40 degrees. Today's high in Cape Girardeau should be around 50 degrees.
