The Missouri Department of Transportation after May 17 will require all bids for highway construction work to be submitted electronically, according to a news release sent Monday.

Bids require a digital ID through Bid Express, MoDOT's electronic bidding provider, and a separate Request to Submit Bids Electronically document submitted to MoDOT. Information on how to set up an account can be found at modot.org/business/contractor_resources/bid_opening_info/software.shtml.

According to MoDOT it can take up to one week to process a new account. For more information or assistance to set up an account, call 573-751-9253 or email lisa.mueller@modot.mo.gov.
