"This is an important opportunity to gather comments from the public," said MoDOT District Engineer Scott Meyer. "This plan will ultimately serve Missouri residents and we need their input in creating it."

In addition to listening to the public, officials at the meeting will collect written comments. A copy of the plan and other informational materials will be available for viewing, Meyer said. The transportation plan also is on MoDOT's Web site at www.modot.state.mo.us.

The final plan will be presented to the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission in December.
