SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open-house community briefing from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, to discuss upcoming improvements to the Highway 91 bridge over Drainage Ditch 2 in Scott County. The briefing will be held at MoDOT's District Office in Sikeston, 2675 N. Main. The project will include replacing the bridge with a wider structure. Additionally, the bridge will feature lower rails to better accommodate agricultural traffic. A contract for the project is expected to be awarded in April 2012. Work could begin as early as spring 2012, with completion in mid-summer 2012.
