MoDOT plans work today on I-55, Route DD

MoDOT will reduce Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County to one lane starting today for shoulder repairs in the southbound lane. The work zone is a one-mile stretch extending from mile marker 97 to mile marker 96. Weather permitting, the reduction with start at 7:30 a.m. today and continue through 4 p.m. Friday. Route DD in Bollinger County will continue to be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews cut brush next to the roadway. The work begins at 7:30 a.m. today and continues through 4 p.m. Friday. Work will be working along Highway 34, moving north for seven miles to the Madison County line.
