MoDOT will reduce Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County to one lane starting today for shoulder repairs in the southbound lane. The work zone is a one-mile stretch extending from mile marker 97 to mile marker 96. Weather permitting, the reduction with start at 7:30 a.m. today and continue through 4 p.m. Friday. Route DD in Bollinger County will continue to be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews cut brush next to the roadway. The work begins at 7:30 a.m. today and continues through 4 p.m. Friday. Work will be working along Highway 34, moving north for seven miles to the Madison County line. Each work zone is marked and drivers are advised to use caution while moving through construction zones. For more information, call MoDOT at 888-275-6636.
