PATTON, Mo — The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a community briefing today to discuss the Route B Little Muddy Creek bridge replacement in Bollinger County. The meeting is at 4 p.m. at MoDOT's maintenance shed on Highway 72 east of Highway 51 near Patton. In September, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved plans to improve more than 800 of the state's lower-rated bridges in the next five years. Nineteen bridges in the Southeast District will be among the first improvement projects in 2009 and 2010. Each bridge will close for up to six weeks. Briefings will be announced for other bridges in the region as construction approaches.
