MoDOT announces road closures, lane reductions

Route U closed for pipe replacement

Route U in southwest Cape Girardeau County will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today for pipe replacement, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced Tuesday. The closure will be from Route A near Whitewater to Route RA near Crump. MoDOT crews will perform the work.

Highway 25 reduced to one lane today

Drainage work on Highway 25 south of Gordonville will reduce traffic on the highway to one lane from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, the Missouri Department of Transportation said in a news release. The work will take place from one-half mile south of County Road 206 to one mile north of County Road 226. The work zone will be marked with signs.

Highway 72 reduced for drainage work

Highway 72 will be limited to one lane of traffic from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform drainage work on a section of the road. The traffic restriction will be in place from the junction with Highway 51 to one half-mile west of Highway 51 near Patton, Mo. The work zone will be marked with signs.
