Southeast Missouri Food Bank's Mobile Food Pantry served 158 families Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 in Jackson. Along with a variety of food items from the pantry, Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwiches were handed out. The food bank's mobile program fills the gap in emergency food assistance, mostly in small, rural communities that lack the resources to provide for families in need.
