FARMINGTON, Mo. -- A suburban St. Louis man who was on probation for leading police on a chase four years ago has been sentenced to prison for committing the same offense this year.
The Park Hills Daily Journal reported that 41-year-old Timothy Dean, of St. Peters, was sentenced late last week to 10 years in prison by a St. Francois County judge. Dean had been convicted of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest by fleeing and violating probation.
Dean was arrested June 23 after a Farmington officer tried to stop a speeding vehicle on U.S. 67. Police said Dean drove off at speeds up to 100 mph before officers flattened his tires with spike strips.
Dean was already on probation for leading Iron and St. Francois county officers on a chase in January 2007.
