ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) -- An eastern Missouri man has been found guilty of killing his father and his father's business associate nearly eight years ago.

A St. Charles County jury on Tuesday convicted 28-year-old Nathan Dale Speaks of St. Peters on two counts each of murder and armed criminal action. Roger Speaks and William Hamilton of Hardy, Ark., were slain in March 2000.

The two longtime antique dealers were shot to death inside the elder Speaks' home in St. Charles County. Authorities say Nathan Speaks was after money kept in a safe inside the home.
