CHARLESTON, Mo. (AP) -- A 44-year-old offender has been reported missing from a work release assignment in southeast Missouri.
The Missouri Department of Corrections says it is searching for David Hill, who went missing from an assignment Monday in Kennett. He has been serving time at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston.
The corrections department says it has contacted authorities to assist in the search.
Hill's six-year sentence is for unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of distributing and manufacturing a controlled substance.
