JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Gov. Matt Blunt is visiting Missouri National Guard troops in Kosovo.
About 1,000 Missouri guard members have been stationed there since April on a peacekeeping mission.
The governor's office says Blunt is meeting with leaders of the Kosovo Force Headquarters and visiting with soldiers on the job there.
A spokesman for Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder says Blunt transferred his gubernatorial powers to Kinder beginning on Sunday.
