Mo. extends business tax deadline in area
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Businesses in 20 Missouri counties hit by January's ice storm are getting a break from the state Department of Revenue. The department is giving those businesses extra time to pay some state taxes. The extension applies to sales, corporate income, franchise and employer withholding taxes due to the state between Jan. 22 and March 20. The new deadline is March 30. Individuals must still pay their state income taxes by April 15. The extension applies to businesses in Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dunklin, Howell, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Pemiscot, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard, Stone, Taney and Wayne counties.
