POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced it will conduct DWI saturation operations in some of the 13 counties it oversees during December. "DWI saturations and checkpoints are a part of the Patrol's effort to remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri's highways," said Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E. "The impaired driver continues to be a major contributor to serious and fatal traffic crashes in Southeast Missouri."...

Counties in Troop E are Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol urges everyone to report any vehicle they observe operating in a careless and imprudent manner.
