Sgt. Shannon V. Weaver, 28, of Urich, Mo., and two other soldiers were killed in Baghdad when multiple improvised explosive devices blew up near their vehicle, the Department of Defense said in a news release.

Sgt. Brian D. Ardron, 32, of Acworth, Ga., and Spc. Michael W. Davis, 22, of San Marcos, Texas, also were killed.

The three were assigned to the 425th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division based at Fort Richardson, Alaska.
