ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The man who crashed a stolen SUV into a house, killing a woman inside the home, is sentenced to life in prison plus 10 years.

A St. Louis jury convicted 35-year-old Purcell Hartson of Dellwood in September on charges of second-degree murder, robbery, domestic assault and armed criminal action. A judge sentenced him on Friday.

The accident happened in 2005. Police say Hartson carjacked the sport utility vehicle minutes before the crash so he could chase his girlfriend after seeing her with another man. He allegedly rammed her car so hard they both went out of control.
