Missouri making presentation to Bombardier Aerospace

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Gov. Matt Blunt and economic development officials are headed to Montreal to make a sales pitch to place an airplane assembly plant in Kansas City.

Blunt already has signed legislation authorizing up to $240 million in tax credits for Bombardier Aerospace to locate in Missouri. The Montreal-based company also is considering putting the plant near its hometown.

Blunt will be out of the state for 12 days. He's also attending a wedding in Colorado and conferences in California, South Carolina and Florida.

In Blunt's absence, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder is serving as acting governor. Kinder is expected to sign several bills and make various appointments during that time.
