Daniel Bollinger II, sponsored by the Cape Girardeau County Association of Legal Secretaries, won second place in the Missouri Association of Legal Secretaries scholarship program. Bollinger will receive a $300 scholarship.
A first-place scholarship for $750 went to Cheri Nelson, sponsored by the Greene County LSA, and a third-place scholarship worth $200 was won by Julie Simpson of the Greater St. Louis LSA.
The scholarships were announced at the annual meeting of the MALS last month in Branson, Mo. Brenda Schmelz of Franklin County was elected president of the group.
