Mississippi River bridge inspection scheduled

East- and westbound Highway 34/74 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform a bridge inspection. This is the bridge between Cape Girardeau and Illinois.

Weather permitting, the work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Monday through March 30. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
