Jeanna Martin, a Kokomo, Miss., mother of four who disappeared July 9 five miles north of Cape Girardeau, is expected to return home today.
Capt. Bud Proffer with the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department said Marion County, Miss., authorities are eager to interview her about her whereabouts over the last two weeks. A man Martin was traveling with told police they were in two separate cars, he lost track of her and when he went back to look, her car was abandoned with a flat tire and the keys in the ignition.
That man, Jesse Hammond, was being held in connection with another crime and was suspected of being involved in Martin's disappearance, Marion County authorities said.
Proffer said apparently Martin called her relatives from South Carolina and said she was on her way home.
