BLOOMFIELD -- A Stoddard County man reported missing on Sunday has been found safe and sound -- and headed south -- in Illinois.
Kevin Faulkner of Bloomfield, who was last seen Saturday afternoon reportedly on the way to Sikeston to pay a bill to a rental company, was seen in Union County, Illinois, Wednesday afternoon, according to Stoddard Sheriff Steve Fish. A motorist noticed Faulkner's 1984 pickup parked at a rest stop on Highway 157 in Union County.
The sighting was reported to the Illinois State Police, who confirmed Faulkner's identity with the Stoddard County Sheriff's Dept. At 3:18 p.m., the Cairo Police Dept. notified the Stoddard sheriff's staff that Faulkner was safe and secure and headed south on Highway 157.
Family members were alarmed when Faulkner became missing Saturday, worried that the man subject to epileptic seizures had left home without his medication.
No information was available as to where Faulkner might haven been headed or how he came to be located in Southern Illinois.
