Remember that movie that came out, probably when you were a kid, "Driving Miss Daisy"?
That movie was actually a stage play first, and this month the River City Players community theater group is bringing the stage version to life at the River City Yacht Club.
This version is actually a resurrection of a "Driving Miss Daisy" the Players produced in 2001, with Randy Barnhouse and Lloyd Williams reprising their roles as Boolie and Hokie. The 2001 show was so popular it sold out every performance, so the Players have added three performances this time, eight instead of the usual five.
Two different Miss Daisys have been cast to perform all the dates, one of them director Debbie Barnhouse says looks just like Jessica Tandy (Miss Daisy in the film version).
