MILLERSVILLE MAN INJURED IN ACCIDENT

FRUITLAND -- A Millersville man was transported to the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by emergency helicopter Monday, after he was involved in a head-on collision about four miles north of Fruitland.

Dale Koehler, 24, was extricated from his vehicle by firefighters as the helicopter arrived.

Curtis Smith, 31, of Jackson, and his passenger Henry Whitener, 42, of Glen Allen, received minor injuries and were also transported to St. Francis Medical Center.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman said that the two cars collided on a gravel road near Hill Crest.
