Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate an International Night of the Millennium Nov. 13 on the University campus. The event is planned for 4-7 p.m. in the University Center lobby."It is a lot of fun," said Dorothy Phukan, a Southeast student from Guwahati, India. Phukan is treasurer of the International Awareness Council and chair of Educational Connections at Southeast.

The festivities will include free food, which will be prepared by international students, a variety of entertainment and displays of international artifacts. The evening also will provide the opportunity for participants to interact with students from various cultural backgrounds and to engage in discussions.

Also featured during the evening will be a variety show. Phukan said that more than 20 countries and all of the continents will be represented at the event.

International Night of the Millennium is sponsored by the International Awareness Council with assistance from the International Programs office. The event is free and open to the public.
