Area man graduates from Air Force basic training

Air Force Airman Adam C. Tucker graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During six weeks of training, Tucker studied the Air Force mission, performed drill and ceremony marches, received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

Tucker, the son of Bill Tucker of Weissinger Lane, Cape Girardeau, is a 2002 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau.

Rellergert graduates from naval officer training

Navy Ensign Nathan P. Rellergert, son of Mary T. Fulton and Leroy J. Rellergert, both of Perryville, Mo., was recently commissioned upon graduation from the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Program with Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit, University of Notre Dame, Ind.

During college, Rellergert completed naval science courses and academic courses that fulfilled degree requirements.

These courses serve to prepare NROTC graduates for the intellectual, mental and physical challenges of a commissioned officer.

Rellergert is a 1999 graduate of Perryville High School.
