Cape man completes army vehicle training
Army Pvt. Alexander V. Ray has graduated from the Light-wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Ray is the son of Vanessa and Hubert Ray of Cape Girardeau. He is a 2005 graduate of Cape Central High School.
David A. Pengeil has enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard, a reserve component of the U.S. Army. Pengeil, a light-wheel vehicle mechanic, is assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1140th Engineer Battalion, Cape Girardeau. He has served in the military for four years. He is the son of Anthony Pengeil of McKinley Lane, Streamwood, Ill., and Sue Lindvig of Rural Route 1, Marble Hill, Mo. Pengeil is a 1992 graduate of Central High School, and received an associate degree in 2004 from Universal Technical Institute Inc., Glendale Heights, Ill.
