Frank completes Navy basic training

Navy Seaman Recruit Timothy M. Frank, son of Debbie M. and Michael M. Frank of Cape Girardeau, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Frank completed a variety of training, including classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness. He also completed "Battle Stations," an exercise that gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet and demonstrates what it means to be a Navy sailor. Frank is a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School.
